i'm not sure that most people understand how long the democrats have been trying to keep regulation away from freddie mac and fannie mae.

i guess no one is perfect

what does this prove? there are two men running for president. one of them has been in washington longer than i have been alive. the other has been there for four years, and is already capable of the same scandalous behavior. there is no candidate that represents your values, nor is there someone who is really looking out for you.

if we can learn anything from this current congress, it is to not trust the campaign that promises to bring change to washington. they have accomplished nothing, just as obama will accomplish nothing.

the day that mccain stands up for conservative values, is the day that someone tells him what conservatism means.

we do not want the IRS taking money from our paychecks.

i watched "father of the bride" with the girlfriend. i usually can't pass up a steve martin movie. it did seem that they took the sappy moments from every steve martin movie, and crammed them all into one single, yuppy, tear-jerker. i have no time for sappy movies. i also have no time for sappy television shows. extreme makeover: home edition, can burn with the rest of them. i will never cry to the cue of ryan seacrest's annoying, toolish voice.

that being said, i LOVE sixteen candles.

this group is coming to dallas. the only problem is, nobody (that i know of) actually knows who they are. the girlfriend doesn't seem too interested, so i'd rather not drag her to it. there are a series of problems with this entire situation.

either:

1. i have really bad taste in music.
2. i have no friends.
3. i have really really really good taste in music (not even close), and people are just sick of being on the bad taste-spectrum when it comes to being around me.†
4. it would be really awkward to go alone.
5. they might suck live. and if i ever convinced someone to go, they may never forgive me.

†: don't smite me, lord.

other issues:

a. i have fewer weblog editor options when i use the super-new google chrome. also, the words "dallas", "weblog", and "google" all appear to be spelt wrong. even the word "spelt" seems to be completely wrong. even more puzzling, is the fact that none of these come up wrong on spell-check.

b. i've started using full-strength mouth wash. my mouth feels like i've been licking band-aids all day. it's a good feeling.

just to be clear, i'm not begging for someone to go with me.
