  • Are you talking about Al Gore?  Just kidding.

  • have you seen it yet?

  • I think he just did.

  • we'll find out won't we

  • no, that movie was horrible.

  • yes. i'm sure there's some irony present.. i'd rather not put my finger on it since alanis came along and made irony so confusing, i'd probably be wrong somehow.

  • hey brazos!

there is so much about cloverfield i didn't like. the whole movie felt like one of those video game movies that are meant to explain the plot of the game a little better. it was so predictable too. oh gee, i wonder what's gonna happen when he turns on the night vision.

also, there was no character development, so i didn't feel connected at all to the characters, so i didn't feel any kind of emotion when one would die. the only character i really like was the cameraman hud, and i was sad when he died, but other than that, the characters just seemed like devices jj abrams was using to manipulate the audience.

and then the monsters...the main monster looked like a rejected video game character/beagel. i wasn't scared at all during any of the movie. but i guess the good thing is that i saw it for free since UMKC was doing a free movie night. after cloverfield was over me and mackenzie snuck into juno, which was a great movie.

it's good to hear from you again. it's been a while.

  • RYC: Great line and great movie. If you liked it you should go rent Idiocracy. It's the same great comedy, except pointed at our generation.
