i have nothing good to say about politics.  it is only fun for me to think about, and not a very good experience for anyone to witness.

    proceed with caution.

    a woman's right to choose:

    1.  what does this mean?

    2.  is the fetus part of the woman?

    3.  shouldn't the critical choice be made before the decision to have sex?

    4.  is a woman's life at stake EVERY time an abortion is considered?

    5.  should partial-birth abortion be available to women who have no health problems?

    6.  should taxpayer money be used to give free abortions?

    7.  should parents be contacted before a minor is allowed to receive an abortion?

this is a very delicate issue.  on either side i find a bumper-sticker response to all of these questions.  the left would say "protect a woman's right to choose", while the right would say "abortion is murder".  both of these responses seem to miss the mark.

there are people on the left who would say that abortion should be legal for every stage in the development of the fetus, all the way up until birth (regardless of the mother's ability to live).  i find this very disgusting, and about evil as the holocaust.  mother's have a very unique responsibility.  some believe that mother's should only be responsible for what they want, but i'm more inclined to believe that mother's have to take responsibility for what they do. why is it that a woman can ignore every choice in the process leading up to conception, and then care only about their choice when conception has already occurred?

there are people on the right who believe that human life begins at conception, and that any attempt to get rid of the fetus from the point of conception is murder.  i probably fall closer to this extreme.  it is hard for me to believe that with the modern technology we have today, we cannot deliver babies prematurely for the sake of saving the life of the mother; even if it means giving the mother a c-section and then putting the baby in an incubator.  we have come so far in the development of premature care, that the simple termination of a premature baby seems morally immature.  there are no excuses for the use of partial-birth abortions.  if a baby can be born partially, killed, put back into the womb, then born dead, i have reason to believe that the baby could easily be born naturally without risking the mother's life.  people who fight for this type of murder only have a political axe to grind, and care nothing about women at all.  if abortion exists at all, it should only be used in the rarest and most tragic cases.

top ten reasons to vote democrat (in no order)

    1.  bush lied, people died.  (even though it can't be proven that he knew anything at all, especially given the other great idea that he is a complete fool)

    2.  oil company's make a lot of money, and we are paying a lot at the pump.  (even though they pay more taxes than anyone else, and obama wants to tax them even more.  guess which direction the prices will go after that!)

    3.  we need to bring our boys home.  (even though obama has changed his war position to be exactly like mccain's)

    4.  the rich are getting richer, while the poor are getting poorer.  (a good thing, followed by a lie.  it is awesome when people get rich, and the standard of living for our poorest is the best it's ever been.  does it really make sense that we should bring the rich down instead of bringing the poor up?  maybe the left really does believe in equality, just that we should all be equally poor and subservient to the government.)

    5.  republicans don't care about the environment.  (the free market is producing more fuel efficient cars faster than the time-line given by obama for his plan to require more fuel efficient cars.  it's startling to see how little people understand when it comes to how the free market works.  more regulation in the car industry is just the thing that will drive up the price of cars, and drive down competition in the automobile market;  two things that we really do not need.)

    6.  a black guy for president!  (way to move past race, democratic party!)

    7.  eh, i give up.

    8.  go have your hope orgy and feel good about yourselves.

i want you to vent all of your political feelings.  i don't want you to hold anything back to be polite.

be completely honest, and hold no punches.

until you can learn to say completely what you really mean, then nothing should be said at all.
